Hello -

Welcome to my site. I have been on the faculty at UNLV since January 1988.  I chaired the Tourism and Convention Administration Department for 18 years.  I teach Catering, Intro to Conventions and Social Media for Hospitality.  Most of my teaching is online.

Prior to UNLV, I was on the faculty at Georgia State University for over 10 years, 9 of which I was the chair of the Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Administration Department.

It was while in Atltanta that I learned about the convention industry. I started putting convention classes into the curriculum at GSU in 1978. I used part-time professionals to teach, and I sat in on the classes. I did a tradeshow internship with GES, sponsored by NAEM (now IAEE).

Awards I have received:

We don't accomplish anything in this world alone... and whatever happens is the result of the whole tapestry of one's life and all the weavings of individual threads from one to another that creates something.  - Sandra Day O'Connor
